View Full Version : The difference between "I'm in love with you" and "I love you"
Is there a difference between these two phrases? "I'm in love with you" and "I love you" What do you think? I would like to know your opinions please!

I don't see that much of a difference between the 2 quotes. Maybe the only difference can be in time line. Personally I would use "I'm in love with you" in the first stage of the relationship just to say what I feel for the person standing on my side; on the other hand I would say "I love you" in every other occasion during the same relationship with that person.
P.S: I'm just wondering who is the person that made you think so deep on the difference of these two sentences?!

I think they are very different.
"To be in love with someone, it's not the same, that "To love someone" For example, to be in love with someone, it's at the begining, when you meet that special someone, and than you both feel the attraction between the both of you. When you share the most intimate and wonderful feelings. You feel like you have found that special person, and you made great conection. You feel that pleasure, that keeps a smile into your face, all the time. Is that happiness, that you haven't felt before. And then you think that everything it's just perfect for you, because you are in love.
"To love someone" is different. You love someone, and then after some time, you discover that the person you think you love, it's not as perfect as you want it to be. You have to accept him/her as he/she is. You love the good and the bed things of that person. You have to give and to receive with that person. It's a concious decision.

Well we are not very far from sharing the same thoughts ... BUT (there is always one ;) ) as long as love is a unique and personal feeling the points of view can be similar and never the same :)

e para eshte me e thelle dhe mund te thuhet vetem ne cift
e dyta mund t'ja thuash kujtdo, shoqe, shoke, parents, sisters etc.
you can love someone but it doesn't mean you are in love with them.
you hear people say all the time "I love him but I'm not in love with him anymore"

Nuk mund ta shkruaje ne shqip ti kete?? Jo se nuk dime por prap se prapi shqip ka me lezet. Diferenca midis "Kam rene ne dashuri me ty" dhe "Te dua" eshte se tek e para i shprehesh dikujt qe ndjen dicka, kurse te Te Dua i thua personit qe do dhe qe ai e di qe ti e do.

Anushke mund ta shkruaja edhe shqip, por sic po e shikon edhe ti, e kam hapur te gjuhet e huaja. E kam hapur per nje arsye un aty, jo kshu kot. Pastaj ne shqip, nuk ka teme dashurie qe nuk eshte hapur, prandaj e hapa ne anglisht.

When you said “I love you” to someone, you said to someone who you know very well. This is my opinion.

Well finding the way to tell a friend that you love the mystic words I am in love with you is still a way to be discovered... ;)
